Is It Good for Business?
Welcome to a Vacuum Cleaner Battery specialist of the dell laptop battery
The trouble with superportable laptops is that they don't typically afford enough screen space for serious work. That's the beauty of the LG Gram 15, which happens to be the single lightest 15-inch laptop we've ever laid our hands on.
How light is it? At just 2.16 lbs., it weighs less than half as much as competing notebooks like the 5-lb. Asus ZenBook Pro UX501VW and the 4.37-lb. Dell XPS 14. That's a big perk for commuters who need to lug their laptop with batetry like Dell RD859 Battery, Dell PR002 Battery, Dell UD260 Battery, Dell PD942 Battery, Dell Latitude 131L Battery, Dell 8F871 Battery, Dell 2G218 Battery, Dell Winbook N4 Battery, Dell F0590A01 Battery, Dell 7T670 Battery, Dell Latitude D400 Battery, Dell CEF2H Batterybetween home and the office.
The notebook's big 15.6-inch display is gorgeous and, more important, big enough to work on. Tasks like editing large spreadsheets or documents and multitasking with two windows side by side are much more comfortable on a screen this size than on 13-inchers like Dell's XPS 13 or Apple's MacBook Air, both of which weigh more than the larger Gram 15.
We were also pleasantly surprised by the notebook's processing power, which is more than sufficient for heavy productivity. The Gram 15 is equipped with respectable hardware, including a 6th-generation Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of solid-state-drive (SSD) storage. It ranked below rival thin-and-light systems on our benchmark performance tests, but only by a little.
Of course, you'll have to make a few concessions for a notebook this light and portable. The keyboard is on the shallow side, which makes this system a questionable pick if typing is a big part of your job. And, on the whole, the Gram 15 feels pretty flimsy, with noticeable flex in both the lid and the keyboard deck.
The Gram 15's battery life was also disappointing; it lasted just 6 hours and 2 minutes on our battery test, which simulates continuous Web browsing over Wi-Fi. That's quite a bit shorter than the ZenBook Pro's mark of 8 hours, as well as the HP Spectre x360's time of 8 hours and 27 minutes. The Dell XPS 15 is an even better pick for people who work away from their desk; that machine ran for an impressive 10 hours and 26 minutes on the same battery test.
